June 9, 2021
My dear people,
As COVID 19 infection rates continue to decline, we are further relaxing some earlier protocols. All seating restrictions in the church have been removed. Paper items (hand-held fans, cards with the most recent changes in the English translation, and texts for the prayers after Low Mass) are being returned to the pew racks. Beginning June 14, pews will only be disinfected after each weekend Mass.
Most of our supply of the current Missalette for the OF (Ordinary Form) Mass were given to people to keep for themselves. Please continue to keep them and use them for yourselves. When the next edition comes out in August, we will place them in pew racks for your use at each Mass, asking that you leave them in the there after Mass. Having given away nearly all of the old Latin-English Missalettes for the EF Mass, we now have new ones available for use during Mass. Please return them to their container in the vestibule as you leave.
Masks are not required but encouraged for those who are vulnerable or not vaccinated.
As we relax these precautions, again I urge you to exercise your own good judgment as to if, where, and how you attend Mass and whether or not you use our paper publications. While the General Mass Dispensation during the pandemic has ended, there are still dispensations for Particular cases: personal sickness, vulnerability, or recent exposure to COVID or the flu; caregivers for the infirm; those who are pregnant; and all those aged 65 or older. For your safety and peace of mind, we will continue with Mass options: closed circuit in the Hall for all Sunday Masses; the outdoor speaker (weather permitting) and the small FM radio station for those who can park their cars nearby.
May the Divine Assistance remain always with us!
