On Sunday, November 11, we will mark the centennial of the Armistice ending WWI with a wreath-laying ceremony at the stone memorial across the street from the church. We will gather at 10:45 A.M. and be finished by 11:15. Our bells will be tolling or ringing half-muffled in union with church bells throughout the country on 11/11 at 11:00 A.M. One of the WWI Island dead was our parishioner, Marion Keenan. All relatives of his are invited to stand as a group at the commemoration; that would include all the descendants of Theodore S. Blanchard and his wife, Catherine Keenan Blanchard.
